Miami EdTech’s Highlights of 2025

As we look back on an incredible year at Miami EdTech, one thing stands out: real impact is built together. Through powerful partnerships, bold innovation, and deep community collaboration, we expanded access to technology, reimagined learning experiences, and opened new pathways to opportunity.

From national collaborations with global tech leaders to locally rooted programs serving students, educators, and job seekers, this year demonstrated what’s possible when education, workforce development, and technology align with purpose.

Miami EdTech Named Google Partner of the Month

Miami EdTech was named Grow with Google’s Partner of the Month for expanding access to tech education. Over 100 learners completed Google Career Certificates and AI Essentials, and nearly 175 M-DCPS CTE students entered pre-apprenticeship pathways through Google AI Essentials.

Teacher Trainings: AI & Industry Certifications

We delivered year-round, hands-on professional development for computer science, AI literacy, and innovative teaching practices impacting thousands of students. Trainings included Every Student: Differentiation in the AI Classroom, engaging 36 educators in inclusive, personalized instruction strategies.

STEM on Wheels: Indiana 

Through our partnership with Infosys, Miami EdTech expanded nationally bringing high-quality professional development and STEM instruction to Indiana. This collaboration reinforces our mission to elevate STEM education through industry-informed training.

Project SECURE Launch

In partnership with United Way Miami | UpSkill Miami, we launched Project SECURE, training 16 participants for careers in cybersecurity. The program combined hands-on instruction, job placement support, and a pathway to Cisco CyberOps Associate certification, strengthening Miami’s cybersecurity talent pipeline.

Hispanic Federation Latino Digital Accelerator

Miami EdTech joined the Hispanic Federation’s Latino Digital Accelerator, supported by a major Google.org investment. This initiative expands digital skills and AI training nationwide, advancing community-centered workforce development and access to in-demand careers for Latino learners.

ProChile Delegation Visit

We hosted a ProChile delegation, fostering international collaboration around edtech innovation, digital transformation, and workforce development. The visit positioned Miami EdTech as a global partner in scalable education solutions.

HP LIFE & Miami EdTech Partnership

In partnership with HP LIFE, Mission 44, and America On Tech, we launched a free, multilingual professional networking course designed to build essential career skills. The course supports learners globally in navigating today’s digital workforce.

Minecraft South Florida Showdown

The Minecraft South Florida Showdown engaged students in creativity, collaboration, and computational thinking through game-based learning. The event demonstrated how immersive, interactive experiences can strengthen STEM skills and real-world problem solving.

Cisco NetAcad Partnership Announcement

Miami EdTech became an official Cisco Networking Academy partner expanding access to globally recognized IT, networking, and cybersecurity credentials for students and educators across Miami-Dade County and beyond.

NAF STEM Board Retreat

At the NAF STEM Board Retreat, Miami EdTech aligned education, industry, and philanthropic leaders around shared priorities for growing Miami’s STEM talent pipeline and strengthening regional collaboration.

Roberto Clemente STEM x Sports Day

We hosted the first Clemente Futures Lab: STEM x Sports Day at Roberto Clemente Park, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Through sports and hands-on STEM learning, the event honored Roberto Clemente’s legacy while inspiring young learners through culturally rooted programming.

Looking Ahead

This year reinforced what we believe at Miami EdTech: equitable access to technology and learning creates opportunity. We’re excited to continue building pathways, partnerships, and programs that prepare learners for the future.
