Social Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership Incubator

SIEL INCUBATOR

We partnered with Teach For America – Miami Dade to empower the next generation of edtech entrepreneurs working to address systemic inequities and challenges in our education system. As a participant in the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership Incubator, you learn how to go from idea to prototype and will create a prototype (no coding required) that you can use to get feedback on. No tech experience required 🙂

Ideal candidates for the program have ideas on ways we can solve some of our biggest challenges in education through technology.

Our SIEL Cohorts have been made up of educators from Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Broward, and Palm Beach. The problems they were passionate about solving ranged from improved access to eye-care and glasses for students in need to electronic hall passes to increase safety and improved communication for students who leave the room.

Our educators presented their solutions to a room full of engaged and enthusiastic supporters. Panelists from our pitch night represented the venture capital community, a multi-million dollar edtech platform, and a school district representatives from the area of student achievement.
