We are proud to announce that Miami EdTech is a recipient of NBCUniversal’s 2026 Local Impact Grant. Comcast NBCUniversal has awarded $2.5 million this year to nonprofits strengthening communities across the country, and we are honored to be among the organizations selected.
This support will expand our STEM in Motion program, Miami EdTech’s hands-on learning initiative that connects students and educators to robotics, artificial intelligence, coding, and real-world technology experiences. Through STEM in Motion, we will provide engaging summer and school-year opportunities that help young people explore technology, build practical skills, and envision their futures in STEM.
The funding will support educator training, robotics and AI equipment, student engagement opportunities, and learning experiences that move from virtual simulations to hands-on application, build-a-thons, and showcases. This grant strengthens our mission to expand access to meaningful STEM education and help young people build the skills, confidence, and pathways they need for the future of work
“We believe talent is everywhere, but access to high-quality STEM opportunities is not always equal. Thanks to NBC6 and Telemundo 51, STEM in Motion will give more Miami-Dade students the opportunity to build, experiment, and solve problems using the technologies shaping our world, and to envision themselves as the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.”
Thank you to NBC6, Telemundo 51, and Comcast NBCUniversal for investing in Miami-Dade’s students and educators. We can’t wait to see what our students build, and we’ll share their progress as STEM in Motion gets underway.
